Along the way of this epic adventure we will swim in lagoons, jump from waterfalls, and camp on the beach. We will also visit some of Oman’s best forts and castles for the pure pleasure of experiencing the regions beautiful architecture and culture.

Day1: Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day2: Muscat
City Tour of Muscat: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Sultan’s Palace; short hike around the old port/city of Muttrah.
Overnight, The Waves hotel
Day3: Wadi Shab & Sinkhole
Visit and swim at Bimmah Sinkhole. Short hike through Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi, through lagoons to waterfall.
Overnight, Camping at Fins beach
Day4: Wadi Tiwi
Hike through Wadi Bani Khalid to the top of the mountain range, climbing along the top of the mountain ridge.
Overnight, Camping in the mountains
Day5: Wadi Bani Khalid
Begin hike from the mountain camp and cross through the mountains down to the oasis of Wadi Bani Khalid. Relax and swim in the pools of the wadi.
Overnight, Guest house in Bediyya
Day6: Wahiba Sands
Drive to Wahiba Sands (extra activities available: camel riding, sandboarding, visit local house etc).
Overnight, Guest house in Bediyya
Day7: Back to Muscat
Free time and Departure.

Day7: UNESCO Heritage Sites
Drive to Jebel Shams, up to al Ayn and visit the 5,000 year old Beehive Tombs (UNESCO world heritage site). Tour the completely renovated and restored Bahla Fortress.
Overnight guest house or hotel style apartments or camping.
Day8: Hajar Mountains (Jebel Shams)
Hike the “Balcony Walk”, around the rim of the Grand Canyon of Arabia and visit the abandoned village, caves and small lake.
Overnight in guesthouse or apartment style hotel or camping.
Day9: Al Hamra
Visit abandoned mudbrick village of Al Hamra; drive across mountain village to the picturesque village of Balad Sayt; short canyon trek.
Overnight camp in Wadi Bani Awf
Day10: Nakhl
Wukan Village, through the hanging gardens of the valley. Visit Nakhel fort and Nakhel spring.
Overnight, camping at Wadi Abyadh
Day11: Local Farm
Drive to local farm with pool.
Overnight, camp in the farm.
Day12: Muscat
Muscat sight-seeing: Royal Opera House, Muttrah Souq.
Overnight, The Waves hotel
Day13: Free time and Departure.
